spiritual direction

In Luke 24, two of Jesus’ disciples were walking from Jerusalem to Emmaus, trying to make sense of Jesus’ recent death and resurrection. You can probably imagine how their minds were spinning with questions and grief.

Luke 24:15-16 tells us: “As they talked and discussed these things with each other, Jesus himself came up and walked along with them; but they were kept from recognizing him.”

For seven miles they walked and talked, Jesus right there beside them. And then, as they sat at the table and broke bread together, suddenly their eyes were opened. “Were not our hearts burning within us?” they exclaimed (Luke 24:32).

Spiritual direction is a bit like this story. It looks like people walking together, noticing the Holy Spirit’s activity and presence along the way. It looks like exploring questions and concerns about faith. It’s discerning an invitation in the current season, through prayer and silence. As a Christ-centered Spiritual Director, it’s my honor to walk alongside you, helping you to notice God’s presence and activity all along the way.

Still have questions?

What is Spiritual Direction?

Sometimes it helps to begin with what Spiritual Direction is not– it’s not counseling or mentoring or coaching. As a Spiritual Director, I’m your companion as you pay attention to the movement of the Holy Spirit in your life. Together we’ll discern the ongoing invitation of Christ, become curious about where He is leading you, and help you to experience true freedom.  You can read a longer description here.

I am certified through the Christ Centered Spiritual Directors Association and abide by their code of ethics. The model I was trained in is Trinitarian in theology, Contemplative in style, and Biblical in grounding. I attended in-person classes for two years at College Wesleyan Church in Marion, Indiana and received my certification in January 2025.

Do you resonate with any of the following statements?

  • I feel stuck in my spiritual life and need help moving forward.
  • I’m carrying grief, loss, or disappointment and need help processing it spiritually.
  • I’m struggling to sense God’s presence or hear His voice in my daily life.
  • I’m entering a new season of life and I’m feeling disoriented.
  • I sense the Holy Spirit is calling me toward something new, but I can’t quite discern what it is.
  • I believe Jesus loves me, but I feel disconnected or like something is missing.
  • I’m wrestling with a difficult decision and need help listening for God’s guidance.

We’ll meet together for an hour, either in person or through Google Meet. During the hour, we’ll pray, talk, and sit in silence together. I’ll ask you open-ended questions to help you discern the movement of the Holy Spirit in your life, and I’ll sit with you as we we wait on God’s direction. I’ll pray for you and with you. I won’t offer advice or judge you. Everything we talk about will be confidential.

Before we begin meeting, we’ll have an initial session where we’ll be more conversational so I can answer any questions you may have. During that time, we’ll discern if the two of us are a good fit for meeting. If not, I’ll be happy to point you in another direction.

We’ll schedule a complimentary introductory session together where we’ll talk through details including payment information. It’s my desire to find an affordable rate for everyone, so I offer a sliding scale that we’ll talk through together.

You can send payments through my PayPal link

I’d love to schedule an initial 30 minute session with you. Please use the contact link at the top right of the page to set up a time together.
